Kyrgyzstan has signed an agreement with Turkmenistan for the supply of electricity until 2026. This was announced by the Minister of Energy, Taalaibek Ibraev, during a session of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Fuel and Energy Complex, Subsoil Use, and Industrial Policy.
According to him, negotiations are also underway regarding electricity supplies next year with Russia, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan.
For 2025, agreements with all these countries are already in place, according to Taalaibek Ibraev.
According to data from 2024, Kyrgyzstan imported 3 billion 634.4 million kilowatt-hours of electricity.
