Uzbekistan – UAE business forum takes place in Tashkent

Uzbekistan – UAE business forum took place in Tashkent, UzA reported.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Abu Dhabi, was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan Dilshod Rasulov, First Vice Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Aldhaheri, Secretary General of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry Humaid Mohamed Ben Salem, heads of relevant ministries and agencies, industry associations, as well as representatives of both countries.

The event aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between the business circles of both countries as a decisive factor in the further development of investment and trade-economic cooperation.

The areas for attracting investments, Uzbekistan’s investment potential in priority sectors, and promising ideas were presented. Projects in the industry, innovation, education, tourism, transport and logistics, textiles, construction, agriculture, and food production were discussed. It was noted that there are more than 320 enterprises with the participation of UAE capital in Uzbekistan. 120 of them are joint ventures, and more than 200 are foreign enterprises.

B2B meetings between UAE businesspeople and Tashkent entrepreneurs took place.

During the visit, the UAE delegation will hold meetings in relevant ministries and agencies of Uzbekistan and visit free economic zones, industrial zones, and production facilities.
