This software engineering training course aims to create ‘Super Architects,’ equipping them with advanced software engineering skills.

Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica) and the ICT Division joined hands to officially launch the B-TopSE Program on Thursday.
The event marks a significant step forward in building the next generation of highly skilled software engineers in Bangladesh.
The B-TopSE (Bangladesh Top Software Engineer) program, with the aspirational goal to ‘Be a Top Software Engineer,’ is modeled after Japan’s prestigious ‘TopSE’ training course.
This software engineering training course aims to create ‘Super Architects,’ equipping them with advanced software engineering skills and methodologies to thrive in the ICT industry.
Through this initiative, over 1,000 mid-career ICT professionals will receive specialized training with a focus on hands-on, industry-relevant expertise.
The program is administered by Jica’s ‘Project for ICT Engineers Development for the Promotion of the ICT Industry and New Innovations,’ in partnership with Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC), Bangladesh Association of Software & Information Services (BASIS), and academic institutions.
This event was held in graceful attendance of Iwama Kiminori, Honorable Ambassador of Japan to Bangladesh; Shish Haider Chowdhury, Secretary of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division; Ichiguchi Tomohide, chief representative of Jica Bangladesh Office; and other representatives.
The event also featured a video message from Professor Dr. Honiden Shinichi, founder and leader of the TopSE Program at the National Institute of Informatics (NII) Japan, who congratulated his Bangladeshi counterparts on their efforts to start this initiative.
Regarding this incredible initiative, Ichiguchi Tomohide, chief representative of Jica Bangladesh Office, said: “The B-TopSE Program will come as an essential building block for the future of Bangladesh’s ICT industry. By empowering the country’s ICT professionals, we can pave the way for new innovations and stronger global competitiveness.”
