Uzbekistan, EBRD discuss cooperation projects

Head of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Saida Mirziyoyeva met with President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Odile Renaud-Basso in London, UzA reported.

The parties discussed the prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation. It was noted that collaboration between Uzbekistan and the EBRD has reached a new level.

Particular attention was given to the implementation of joint infrastructure projects in the fields of irrigation and the green economy. Saida Mirziyoyeva emphasized the importance of the Women in Business and Youth in Business programs, which contribute to the development of entrepreneurship among women and young people, and to the improvement of their socioeconomic opportunities.

The high level of cooperation in projects carried out in Karakalpakstan, aimed at promoting sustainable regional development, was also highlighted.

“Thanks to the collective efforts and good-neighborly relations among the Central Asian countries, an atmosphere of trust and cooperation has been established in the region. I am confident that our partnership with the EBRD will continue to contribute to the prosperity of Uzbekistan and the entire region,” Saida Mirziyoyeva stated.
