The 6th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Korean Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation will be held in Bishkek on Aug. 12, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

Thus, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to South Korea Aida Ismailova held a meeting with Deputy Minister for Economic Affairs of the Korean Foreign Ministry – co-chair of the Korean part of the Kyrgyz-Korean Intergovernmental Commission Kim Hee Sang, where the parties discussed preparations for the upcoming meeting.
The ambassador noted that the Intergovernmental Commission is actively developing and is an effective mechanism that contributes to the deepening of practical cooperation in all relevant areas, and also makes a significant contribution to strengthening relations between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
In turn, Kim Hee Sang emphasized the importance of increasing trade and economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries.
In conclusion, the sides also discussed current topical issues of cooperation in trade, investment and other priority areas of interaction.
