Azerbaijan’s Central Bank becomes member of Turkic Green Finance Council

The signing of a landmark Memorandum on the establishment of the Turkic Green Finance Council is another important initiative within the framework of the 11th Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) held in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, Report informs, citing the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA).

The signing ceremony was attended by Taleh Kazimov, Chairman of the CBA.

According to the memorandum, which was co-signed by the Astana Financial Center of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange, and the Capital Markets Board of Türkiye, the primary objective of the Council is to provide advice and consulting services to member organizations to promote green and sustainable finance, as well as investments that take into account environmental, social, and governance factors.
