Azerbaijan drafts national action plan for development of competitiveness

Along with the Competition Code, Azerbaijan has drafted the National Action Plan for 2024-2026 for the development of competition and prevention of monopolistic activities, Head of the State Service for Antimonopoly and Consumer Market Control under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy, Mammad Abbasbayli, said at the 1st National Competitiveness Forum held in Baku, Report informs.

According to Abbasbayli, the document is in the stage of approval by the government: “After the plan is approved, the adoption of the competition legislation will become an important tool for this matter to become a custom. There are many mechanisms that the National Action Plan will implement. This plan will set obligations not only for the competition body but all state institutions for the promotion of competition and the prevention of monopolies.”
