Yesterday, the Governor of Ulaanbaatar and Mayor of the Capital City, H. Nyambaatar, met with a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Mongolia, Sandra Shufani, to discuss cooperation prospects.

At the start of the meeting, Mayor H. Nyambaatar stated, “In the future, the capital city plans to gradually implement large-scale projects, such as building a high-capacity public transportation system, establishing a metro network, creating a new ring road system, and undertaking ger district redevelopment and housing projects through public-private partnerships and government funding. Within this framework, we are open to learning from Canada’s experience and exploring possible collaborations.”
Ambassador Sandra Shufani responded, “We are ready to explore collaboration opportunities on major infrastructure projects planned by the city. We look forward to providing all necessary support and working together to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.”
It is worth noting that 2023 marked the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
