Uzbekistan is preparing to sign a new five-year cooperation program with the UN in the context of achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs), Report informs, referring to the press service of the Uzbekistani president.
This was discussed during the meeting between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries.
The parties discussed current issues of global and regional development, as well as preparations for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly.
Mirziyoyev highlighted the importance of practical implementation of already reached agreements. He noted that today more than 160 joint programs and projects have been implemented with the UN.
