This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

“During the year of operation of the temporary sea route, also known as the “Ukrainian Corridor”, 2,379 ships exported Ukrainian goods to 46 countries of the world. 64.4 million tons – total cargo turnover, of which 43.5 million tons – products of Ukrainian farmers,” the message says.
It is noted that from March 15, 2024, the Ukrainian sea corridor passing through the ports of Great Odesa began working around the clock, which increased the export of agricultural and other products by 20%.
“The temporary sea route was organized after Russia began blocking vessels passing through the then ‘grain corridor’… On August 16 last year, the first blocked vessel, the JOSEPH SHULTE, used the sea route established by the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Naval Forces for merchant vessels. Unlike the grain corridor, not only agricultural products can be transported by Ukrainian sea route. There are also a number of other advantages, in particular, Ukraine controls the export situation independently, which is one of the most important factors of economic revival,” the message states.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the new Maritime Security Strategy of Ukraine.
