Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration Adylbek Kasymaliev met with representatives of Edelweiss Group AG, the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
The company’s representatives expressed interest in attracting international investors and financing infrastructure projects of national importance in the Kyrgyz Republic. Specifically, the discussion focused on attracting individuals and legal entities from European countries to banking and corporate services within the free economic zone and Edelweiss Bank. It was noted that the establishment of a free economic zone is being prioritized in the area where the Mailuu-Suu Lamp Plant OJSC is located. Financing will be provided and European technologies will be applied in projects in the processing industry and energy sectors.
Concluding the meeting, the Prime Minister noted that Kyrgyzstan is always open to cooperation with entrepreneurs interested in investing in the country, while ensuring compliance with national legislation. Adylbek Kasymaliev instructed government agencies to carry out the relevant work based on the above proposals.
