Within the framework of the partnership between Azerbaijan and the World Bank, which has lasted for more than 30 years, the Bank has allocated approximately USD 5.2 billion in total to 54 projects to support the country, said Finance Minister Sahil Babayev during a meeting with a delegation led by Charles Cormier, the World Bank’s Regional Director for Infrastructure in Europe and Central Asia, APA-Economics reports.
The minister noted that this cooperation has made a significant contribution to the implementation of economic reforms and the provision of sustainable infrastructure in the country.
During the meeting, the current state and development prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the World Bank were discussed, as well as projects implemented with the Bank’s financial support, particularly current and future programs in the areas of infrastructure, urban development, energy, and digital sectors.
