Adylbek Kasymaliev, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers conducted working tour of construction sites in Bishkek. During the inspection, the head of the Cabinet reviewed the implementation of large-scale projects aimed at developing the country’s transport, trade, and sports infrastructure.

The first item on the agenda was a visit to the construction site of the new western bus station. This facility is strategically important for reducing intercity traffic congestion in central Bishkek. The head of the Cabinet emphasized the importance of adhering to international logistics standards and passenger comfort.

At the same time, active development of the road network is underway to provide access to the new transport hub. Adylbek Kasymaliev was presented with a project for the construction of road sections totaling 8.74 km.

The project includes:

  • a 5.775 km section linking Profsoyuznaya Street with the Northern Bypass Road;
  • two additional connecting sections, 1.376 km and 1.589 km long.

The implementation of these projects will create an efficient transport corridor that will significantly reduce congestion in the northern part of the capital.

Then, Kasymaliev visited the construction site of the new Osh bazaar. Relocating the shopping center outside the city center is one of the key measures to combat traffic congestion and improve Bishkek’s architectural appearance. Adylbek Kasymaliev instructed that the most comfortable conditions for sellers and residents be created, including modern warehouses and spacious parking.

Kanybek Tumanbaev, head of the Presidential administration, reported that construction work on the bus station, road network, and the new market is on schedule. Completion of these facilities is scheduled for May of this year.

At the end of his visit, Kyrgyz Cabinet head inspected the construction of the international-class stadium, Bishkek Arena, in the village of Orok.

Kanybek Tumanbaev provided detailed information on the construction progress. The sports complex, designed to accommodate 51,000 spectators, is being built in strict compliance with FIFA standards. The arena will become the largest sports facility in the country, enabling Kyrgyzstan to host world-class football matches and cultural events.

Special emphasis was placed on inclusivity during the design: the stands and all functional areas include specialized seating and amenities for people with disabilities.

Following his working visit, Adylbek Kasymaliev issued a number of instructions to relevant government agencies and the capital’s mayor’s office. He emphasized the need to ensure impeccable quality of road and construction work, as well as strict adherence to deadlines for the completion of the facilities.
